 Sophia Snow House, a 36-unit residential care facility for seniors, seeks a Director of Nursing
to supervise daily operations and care planning. Sophia Snow House occupies a brand-new,  attractively designed building in Roslindale with the Residences at Snow Place, 66 Independent Living apartments. 

   The Director of Nursing recruits, trains, and supervises direct care staff that assists
residents with activities of daily living, wellness, medication administration, nutrition, and socialization. He or she also monitors the health of residents, coordinates services from medical providers, and updates clinical and functional assessments as needed. 

   The preferred candidate will have a Massachusetts nursing license and 3-5 years

 DIRECTOR, ADULT DAY HEALTH

   The Dutton Center Adult Day Health Program, located in Wakefield, MA, started in 1979 as a social day program and changed in the mid 1980s to adult day health.  The program has 70 to 80 participants with an average daily census of 40.  The program offers a variety of daily activities and groups to suit the mix of participants, which include medical, psychiatric and respite.  Our team consists of an RN, Social Worker, Secretary, Meal Service Attendant, Activity Director and Activity Aides.

    In this director’s role, you will be responsible for the direction, planning, organization and evaluation of clinical, support and administrative processes while managing day-to-day operations.  The Director is part of the RN staffing mix for 12 hours per week providing direct care.  You will provide service and fiscal management while ensuring that safe and high quality standards are met or exceeded.  Qualifications include RN licensure in Mass., bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) plus community-based program leadership experience.  The ideal candidate will have a geriatric nursing background as well as administrative and management skills.  Geri-psychiatric experience a plus.

Assistant Program Manager / RN

Rogerson Communities, a prestigious not-for-profit housing and health service provider in the Boston area, is looking for an Assistant Program Manager/RN at its Adult Day Center.  Rogerson Communities is the area’s premier provider of adult day health and fitness programs for elders and adults with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.  The Adult Day Center offers adults with memory loss an array of therapeutic activities and access to necessary health services.  This person assists with supervising the overall operations of the adult day program.  While performing general RN duties, this person will also assist in supervising and evaluating the staff.  Additional responsibilities include organizing, implementing, and coordinating the daily operations of the adult day center in accordance with participants’ needs and any mandatory requirements in the absence of the Program Manager.

The qualified candidate must be an RN licensed to practice nursing in Massachusetts, and have a minimum of two years experience in the direct care of elderly or chronically disabled persons.  Should also have a minimum of two years experience in an administrative leadership role.  This person must possess the ability to work cooperatively as a multi-disciplinary team member, and should also have the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
